Job Title: HVAC Technician

Job Summary: An HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. They ensure that heating and cooling systems operate efficiently and effectively to maintain comfortable indoor environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance:

  • Conduct regular maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing air filters.
    Inspect HVAC systems to identify issues and potential problems.
    Perform routine tune-ups to optimize system performance.

Repairs:

  • Diagnose and repair HVAC system malfunctions.
    Replace or repair defective components, such as compressors, fans, and thermostats.
    Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.

Customer Service:

  • Interact with clients to explain system issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.
    Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns and questions.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, parts used, and time spent on each job.
    Prepare estimates for repairs and installations as needed.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
    Stay up to date with industry standards and regulations.

Training:

  • Stay informed about new HVAC technologies and products.
    Attend training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification or vocational training is preferred.
  • Relevant HVAC technician experience, typically ranging from 2 to 5 years.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and refrigeration systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with HVAC tools and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (may be required).
